If you’re looking or a consistent part-time or short-term nanny, we’d suggest starting your search as soon as possible – ideally 4-6+ weeks in advance.
If you’re using our babysitting, hotel or event childcare service, our turn around time can be even quicker. Depending on your needs, we can have a babysitter available for you tomorrow night or if you’re planning an event 4+ weeks notice is even better.

Great question! The answer is yes, to both. If you’re looking for a consistent short-term or part-time nanny we require a commitment of 20-25+ hours per week (for 2+ months). If you need babysitting, hotel or event care there is a 4 hour daily minimum per caregiver.
You may have heard it’s okay to “1099” your nanny. However, with few exceptions – including our temporary nannies (babysitters, hotel, church and event care nannies) who are our employees – the IRS considers most household workers an employee of your family.
If you expect to pay your short-term or part-time nanny more than $2600 (in 2023) you’ll be responsible for paying your nanny directly as well as withholding taxes/paying employer taxes. But not to worry, it’s easy …honestly, it is. We work closely with the top payroll and tax companies in the industry who will walk you through every step.
A part-time or short-term nanny’s rate of pay is based on their experience, areas of expertise and level education; in this market the broad range is $27-$35+/hour, with most falling somewhere in the middle.
As for our fees for part-time and short-term placements, we believe in transparency. Our fees are competitive with other well-established, reputable agencies across the country and reflect the premium quality of the service provided. If you’re using our babysitting, hotel or event childcare service, through Jovie of Denver+, our pricing is all-inclusive (the nanny’s wage and our services fees) and our hourly rate range from $35 – $42+ per hour based on the care specifics.
